The name BLÆD [blεd] derives from the

Maghreb Arabic word “bled”, that can be

translated as “the place we come from”,

the Motherland.

Our Heritage

Blæd was founded in 2021 by Myriam Ettayeb, Rebeca Pimentel, and Sheila Gomis, building on over a decade of experience in the fashion and luxury industry.

Our story is one of three African women who bring inclusivity, integrity, and respect to everything we create.

Myriam Ettayeb

With a background in business management, Myriam combines structure with creativity, guiding each project with precision and a human touch. Her approach ensures that every detail serves the bigger picture while keeping the experience authentic and collaborative. She is passionate about transforming ideas into seamless experiences that leave a lasting impression.

Rebeca Pimentel

A graduate in Fashion Business (Marketing & Management) from ESMOD ISEM in Paris, Rebeca has been working in the fashion industry since 2011. With a lifelong passion for the arts and a background in ballet, she brings discipline, rigour, and a drive for perfection to every project. She is dedicated to pushing boundaries, always striving for more and better in every detail she oversees.

Sheila Gomis

With over a decade of experience, Sheila began her career as a collection coordinator before moving into fashion show production. Over the years, she has specialised in showcalling, overseeing fittings and runway shows for leading luxury brands. Her strength lies in orchestrating high-end events with both attention to detail and creativity, ensuring every moment runs flawlessly.
